Our Staff

The Extreme Runners staff all have varying degrees of running experience and although we might not personally run in a particular shoe, staff tries on all new shoes that come into the store, testing them for several hours and discussing opinions. All staff are given a wide variety of resources to study from each brand – product knowledge meetings, catalogues and online support/study platforms. In addition, we pay attention to what our customers are saying every time they try on a shoe or article. This is how we best determine the best options for a shoe for you given your personal criteria and history. If you have any questions we will always do our best to give you as much information as we have or at least point you in the right direction.

Andy Ronald

With over a dozen years in the industry, Andy started his career in London, England, as the assistant manager of a running shop in the heart of Covent Garden called the Sweatshop. This amazing chain of running stores offers excellent training to its staff in conjunction with the University of Roehampton, including biomechanics, gait analysis and video analysis as well as  injury diagnosis and prevention. After returning to Canada, Andy worked at a number of outstanding running shops in the lower mainland, including Forerunners in Kits. Always learning something new and adding to his knowledge at every stop on his journey. He also had the chance to work at Kintec in North Vancouver where he added so much medical knowledge to his toolbox from a business that made the highest quality custom orthotics. Andy is now living his dream of owning his own running shop and enjoying the amazing trails we have here in the Valley and on the Island.
